According to the FHP, law enforcement responded to the area of the Wawa at State Road 54 and Wesley Chapel Blvd for a fatality involving a crash with a motorcycle. The suspect that crashed and killed the motorcyclist fled the scene, then carjacked a victim at the gas station, and fled in their vehicle.

The motorcyclist, 26-year-old Angel Rodriguez Fiallos of Wesley Chapel, died at an area hospital.

Details are limited at this time.

UPDATE:

According to Pasco deputies, they later located the carjacked vehicle, which prompted a pursuit.

Deputies eventually recovered the vehicle on Knights Griffin Road in Hillsborough County and took a woman into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office says Cody Sterling Bearry 30, the driver, fled the scene on foot, but they later found him while searching through the woods and a canal.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the carjacking incident as the FHP continues to investigate the fatal hit and run crash.
