Event: Sparklebration July 4th

Pasco County, Florida — Sparklebration is the annual celebration on Independence Day hosted by the non-profit Pasco County Fair Association, Inc.

It will be on Thursday, July 4, at the Pasco County Fairgrounds on State Road 52 in Dade City. Gates open at noon as the entertainment will start early!

Some of the activities planned include:

  • Local entertainment- Corrine VanStralen
  • Watermelon and hot dog eating contests
  • Watermelon seed-spitting contest
  • Petting zoo
  • Face paining
  • Bounce houses
  • Carnival games
  • Pony rides

Also there will be a food court that includes barbeque, corn dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, Cuban sandwiches, cotton candy and much more.

At 6 p.m. Billy “Elvis” Lindsey, Elvis tribute artists will have a show in Dan Cannon Auditorium. The outdoor stage will feature the Dennis Lee Show at 8 p.m.

For the finale, a large firework show by Zambelli Fireworks will begin around 9:15 p.m.

Admission to Sparklebration is $5 per people 13 and older. Parking is $5 per car. Most entertainment is free with gate admission.

Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed but alcohol, pets, personal coolers, fireworks are not permitted.
