Coming soon to Wesley Chapel: Wiregrass Elementary School!

The 11-acre, $19.8 million school campus is set to open Aug. 15 along Mansfield Boulevard, across from Dr. John Long Middle School, and will alleviate overcrowding at Double Branch and Sand Pine elementary schools.

The school’s inaugural principal will be Steve Williams.

A secretary, a bookkeeper and a learning design coach were hired in recent days, Williams said, and administrators are reviewing more than 200 teacher applications.
