WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - Retail growth continues to follow Wesley Chapel’s rapid residential expansion, and one of the area’s most anticipated additions is a new Walmart planned for the intersection of State Road 56 and Morris Bridge Road. The project, recently approved and confirmed through public development records, aims to fill a growing need for accessible shopping options on the east side of Wesley Chapel.

Located near the fast-growing Two Rivers community and several other large-scale housing developments, the store is expected to anchor a broader commercial site that will bring new retail, dining, and service opportunities to the area. As more families move into the region, this Walmart location will help reduce travel times for groceries, pharmacy items, and everyday essentials — services that have been in short supply along this stretch of SR 56.
While specific construction timelines and design renderings have not yet been released, the store is slated to feature Walmart’s full retail lineup, including grocery, pharmacy, and general merchandise departments. The addition is another sign of Wesley Chapel’s ongoing transformation from a quiet suburban area into one of Pasco County’s busiest retail and residential corridors.
Residents can expect further updates as site work begins and project details become public in the coming months.
