Vehicle Burglaries Strike Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL - In a disturbing but all too familiar overnight spree of crime, a group of criminals burglarized numerous vehicles throughout the Wesley Chapel area. This latest incident occurred late Thursday night and continued into the early hours of Friday morning. The suspect as seen in surveillance photos a younger, heavyset, black male wearing dark clothing.

The worst-affected locale was the quiet and typically secure Stagecoach Community, situated off Wesley Chapel Boulevard, where residents awoke to the shocking reality of their personal items missing.

Information quickly spread across social media platforms, where residents listed their losses. Social media indicated a significant number of valuable items stolen, including firearms.

The Pasco Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incidents.

These unfortunate incidents underscore the need for residents to be vigilant about their safety and the security of their property. It also raises the question as to why anyone would not lock their car doors at night particularly if they leave valuables or a firearm in it.

Residents of Wesley Chapel and the wider area are urged to report any suspicious activities or information related to the burglaries to the Pasco Sheriff's Office. And remember, almost all burglaries that are reported are unlocked cars.
