Wesley Chapel Shooting Suspect Dies after Suicide

On Friday at 5:45 p.m., the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office received call about the homicide of a woman at the Pasco Woods Apartments, 6122 Ryerson Circle, Wesley Chapel. This is the apartment complex located behind the Cobb theater.

According to police, Karisa Vazquez, 36, was found shot to death, The 13-year-old daughter of Wilson and Vazquez was in the home at the time of the shooting but was not harmed.

Shortly after the incident, the sheriff’s office put out a warrant for Wilson’s arrest. He was seen in the Orlando area late Friday following the shooting but fled from the area and was confronted by deputies in Highlands County.

Pasco County Sheriff’s detectives have confirmed that Wesley Chapel murder suspect Brian Wilson, 34, of Windermere is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being confronted by Highlands County Sheriff’s deputies and a SWAT team at the Lakeshore Mall, 901 U.S. 27, Sebring. He fled and apparently shot himself.
