Updated: Pasco Deputies Seek to Identify 4 Year Old Child Found in Mirada Neighborhood

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are working to identify a young child found wandering near the roadway in the Mirada community of Wesley Chapel on Sunday morning.

According to information shared by neighbors, deputies went door to door in the area after a resident reported finding the child near the street for several hours. The girl, believed to be around four years old, appeared unharmed and in good spirits when located. However, authorities say no missing child reports have been filed in the area, and efforts to locate her parents or guardians are ongoing. (SEE UPDATE ABOVE)


Residents of the Mirada and nearby Epperson neighborhoods quickly began circulating the child’s photo on local social media groups in hopes someone would recognize her.


Anyone who recognizes the child or may have information about her family is urged to contact the Pasco Sheriff’s Office immediately at 727-847-5878, option 7.


The child is currently safe and in the care of authorities as they continue to investigate.
