Man reportedly tries to pick up two children in a suspicious van in Wesley Chapel
WESLEY CHAPEL – According to the Pasco county sheriffs office, a suspicious van recently approached some children in the area of Meadow Pointe in Wesley Chapel.
Here is a copy of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Statement:
“Yesterday, Jan. 27, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious incident in the Mansfield Blvd. area of Wesley Chapel. Two juvenile females reported that an older white male driving a blue work-style van pulled up to them, stopped, told the juveniles that he was a cop and possibly attempted to get the juveniles to enter the van. The juveniles fled from the scene and reported the incident to their parents. A thorough investigation into this incident is ongoing.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office urges parents to educate their children to never enter a vehicle if they do not know the individual and to report these incidents immediately.
